Loved discovering this little sushi place near my new house! Went in for dinner with my roommates and groupon in hand! Good service, great rolls, couldn't be easier! Located in Casady square but has a lot of appeal inside, we will be back!

Got a groupon to this place and went here with my wife. I got a sushi and sashimi plate and she got some noodle dish that I don't remember. The food was decent and worth it for a groupon I guess, but definitely not anything special when it comes to sushi. Not that Oklahoma City is known for their sushi places. Having had good sushi, this place was just what I was thinking it might be. I was excited when it opened, but kind of let down after going...

At first glance it looks great. The food looks vibrant. The atmosphere is dark and feels like a vacant night club. The sushi was very salty. I mean dry your mouth out, puff up your skin salty. We had 4 rolls. Samurai, lobster roll, spicy yellow tail and firecracker. All seemed dry, salty and not very fresh. The sake was a disappointment too. It was yellow and was rough to get down. This was a Groupon purchase and will not be trying this place any time soon.

My wife and I went to Inaka Sushi on Saturday 8/29/15 for our 14th anniversary and used the Groupon. The decor is very modern and tasteful. My wife and I spent a few minutes just staring at all the decor. Our waitress, Jaiwon (say "G1"), was one of the best we've ever had. She was courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The sushi was excellent. We had the Salmon sushi and the Euphoria, Angel, and Spider rolls (plus another one I can't remember the name.) All were delicious. We savored every bite. We've been to many sushi restaurants around the country and this is definitely one our new favorites. Highly recommended. If you go on the weekend be sure to ask for "G1's" section.

The food is good and the atmosphere is nice, however they seemed to be a bit short staffed. There was only 2 people on the floor and they had 4 tables and a big top. They filled our water after they gave us out final check. Food- the spicy roll combo was filling, but we couldn't tell the difference between the tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. The tuna sashimi was excellent. Some of the best I've had in OKC. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, but since the food and ambiance was very good, I rounded up.
(4)Shayla H.
All in all, they have pretty good sushi. The Fire Island Roll is my favorite but it's a spicy one so watch out! I wish they would have rolls with crawfish like Saii does and more variety in ingredients.

Purchased a Groupon and went here for dinner one night. We ordered the Phoenix Roll and Signature Roll. Both were very good and I would definitely order again. The atmosphere was nice, but a little quiet. We went on a Saturday night and there were only two other groups in the restaurant. Unlike others, our service was good. If you're looking for a solid sushi place then I recommend Inaka!

I bought a lunch groupon for Inaka and came on a Monday around 1pm. The place was pretty empty, just us and a few other parties. That being said, all of our food was brought out pretty quickly. Service was just average. Our server didn't really try to be friendly or anything extra, but she was fine. We got a lunch combo of 3 rolls - salmon & avocado, spicy crabstick, and shrimp tempura. All were pretty simple rolls, but they were good! Tasted fresh, stayed together, good presentation. I got a seaweed salad which I enjoyed - good portion for $4 and tasted good/fresh. We also got an appetizer of gyoza, which were just fine, nothing special. The menu is pretty extensive, with reasonable prices, so I would like to come back and try other things! They also have a pretty extensive bar and Sapporo on tap (haven't seen that before). As others have mentioned, the inside is nicer than the outside looks, giving it a good atmosphere. All in all, I think Inaka is a good little sushi place in north OKC!

The waitress with the glasses has so much attitude it's annoying. You're not doing me a favor, because last I checked i'm paying for this. Don't think I'll be back for sometime. It's like they don't care if you're a customer or not. There are plenty of other places to get sushi/ but thanks.
(1)Ayesha T.
Delicious sushi. Good atmosphere. Waiter could smile a bit lol. She seemed like she didn't want to be there but other than that everything was great! Can't wait to go back!

We had lunch there on a Sunday. I'd read another review that mentioned a groupon so I grabbed that discount while we were at it. One of the kids ordered the shrimp habachi dinner, which looked good (she said it was good) but she also ordered chicken fried rice. The fried rice order wasn't very good but this is the only complaint any of us had. The chicken was overcooked, dried out and tasted a day or more old. The sushi rolls, sashimi and boat that we ordered, however, were all extremely good. Although my favorite volcano roll was different than Neko's (everyone is) it was still very good. We couldn't go to Neko's since they're closed on Sunday and we are all pleased with our alternate choice today. The four stars is due to the chicken fried rice. Otherwise we would have had no problem rating five stars.

This is our solid go to for sushi. Fire island roll and chicken teriyaki. They're super sweet and the atmosphere is so chill, which is perfect since we always have our 3 year old in tow.
(5)Diane S.
My second visit here. Aces both times! Order tuna sushi. It melts in your mouth as it is supposed to. Miso soup. Also had rainbow roll and all the fishes and the avocado were top notch. First visit i also ordered tempura. The green bean, sweet potato and shrimp were good. I didn't care for the broccoli. It seemed either old or frozen previously. So they are working out the links in trying to offer so much on the menu. Next I'll order some chicken katsu, gyoza, and yakitori. But the sushi I've had there had been fabulous. Sit at the sushi bar and order. The management and staff have always been gracious and obliging. It's a great location with good parking. And beautiful decor with a lighted glass wall waterfall, a gorgeous liquor bar, beautiful sushi bat, and lots of sexy booths. Definitely a great place to take a date. .. if you know your sushi.
(5)Nicole G.
They brought out our 4 rolls on the boat! Made the sushi taste even better. We went on a weeknight with another couple for my birthday. Service was fast, decor is great, location is great too. Love that the booths are semi private too, the wall is high between them. We will definitely be back!! Welcome to The Village Inaka!! (Only thing I hope they change is the saki bomb glass.)

I actually really loved this place. I'm usually stuck going to Neko or Saii, but this is definitely my new favorite stop for sushi. The rumors are right though: the sushi is great, the service is not. The little girl that waited on my friend and myself could not have been more irritated to wait on us. It was a big turn off. It all started when we weren't ready to order when we sat down. She was seriously pissed that after less than 30 seconds sitting we didnt know what we wanted. To top it off, my buddy asked "how's the euphoria roll?" She responded with "good." Just a really crappy waitress. I heard from multiple people though that its not just her, the whole staff sucks. On to the good: 1) MUCH cheaper than neko and saii. The most expensive roll is $13. 2) Portions of sushi are great, they don't skimp out. 3) Great interior. Nice ambiance and decorations. Wouldn't be bad for a date. The bad: 1) The staff. They suck man. 2) In the middle of a shopping center. You could drive past it, so be on the lookout. Try the tuna-avocado roll. Just awesome.
(4)Marisa B.
Excellent foot and the atmosphere!!! Perfect for family and friends I went 4 times and continue to go !!!
(5)Shylee R.
I use to work in the same shopping center and would get Inaka at least once a week. Fortunately, I just recently turned my husband on to sushi and make every excuse I can to eat there . While the waitresses could have better people skills, the food is delicious every time and that's all I care about.

I bought the Groupon for Inaka after hearing good things from a friend of mine who used to live nearby when it first opened up. My sister had the chicken hibachi with vegetables and fried rice, and I had the volcano roll and crazy dragon roll. I'm not a fan of scallops, and this is only the second place in town that hasn't put scallops on their volcano roll, so I had to order it! It was strange to me that it was fried (just not your typical volcano roll), but it tasted good. The crazy dragon roll was also pretty good; both the rolls I ordered had the exact same crab topping, which was my mistake. I wish I'd ordered stuff with more variety. All in all, I liked it. It's a bit of a drive from my house, but definitely somewhere I'd stop in if I was nearby and craving some sushi.
(4)Mary G.
Husband and I came with a Groupon and were very impressed. Food was quick and excellent. He got sashimi and it was fresh and tasty. I had the volcano roll and it was spicy and delicious. Drinks were strong and the wait staff and manager were very attentive. We will definitely be back.
(5)Shelby A.
Ordered steamed goyza and chirashi for an enjoyable sashimi lunch. I'd recommend this place if you were already in the area - it wasn't exceptional. It's a good Sunday alternative to GoGo.
(3)Robert M.
I might have caught it on a bad night. But bad sushi is easy to spot. And I now fear for my body tomorrow. Decor is nice. They certainly spent good time and money putting this restaurant together. This area really needs this type of atmosphere and I wanted so badly for this to be a five star winner. But the truth is the truth. I wonder what Yelp will do with this review when this spot closes in a month? Extra points for guessing what the name of the next restaurant here will be?
(2)Justin Z.
Best sushi I have had in OKC! I have been searching for good raw rolls and they by far have the best selection!
(5)Stephen B.
I went in for lunch and ordered 3 rolls. Pam was my waitress. She was friendly and polite. the food was delicious. Service was fine. The decor is good. I really enjoyed the place!
(4)Laurel L.
Reading all the reviews I feel I must have caught this place on a good night. But I actually went twice and loved it both times. Then I had take out. So, I'm a bit of a sushi gourmet, visiting some nice nice sushi bars (I.e. Nobu Miami). The sushi for me is some of the best in OKC. The freshest, reddest melt in your mouth tuna that I've had in a while. A nice assortment of some delicious white fishes as well. Salmon delish, eel to die for. Presentation very trendy. Excellent prices and inventive rolls. Service attentive. Cute ambience. For me, I couldn't have been happier and would choose this over saii, neko, and many others in the north area. Sushi club in Edmond is also a favorite and another review! Enjoy this little gem in Cassidy square. I'd like it to stay inbusiness a longtime! Only thing, I wish they were open at 9 on a Monday, because I tried to go tonight and ended up writing this review instead.

Tonight was my second visit here and I decided to try take-out. I ordered the Philadelphia roll ($6) and the volcano roll ($12). My order was ready in less than 10 minutes and they included a menu, napkins, chop sticks and mints in my bag along with the sushi. The two sushi rolls were excellent! The smoked salmon in the Philadelphia roll was fresh and the pieces were just the right size. The volcano roll, one of my favorites, had just the right amount of spice from the jalapeño and spicy mayo. I could have ordered just this roll and had plenty to eat as it is a bit larger than average. I am happy to welcome this restaurant into the Village area and I will definitely be going back soon!
(4)Nicole W.
My husband and I discovered this gem when we craved sushi during a Thunder game. It is right down the street from us in the Village, and it was wonderful! No complaints at all. Very authentic, and I can't believe how delicious. Our favorite sushi place has been, of course, Tokyo on Western and Grand, but we both agreed that Inaka topped it. I got the Hawaiin and Dancing Dragon rolls, and my husband got a Spicy Tuna, Volcano, and Rainbow. They were incredible, and we are definitely going back asap!
(5)Jamie F.
Great atmosphere! Much nicer on the inside than you would assume from the outside. The sushi is great, they have a nice selection of vegetarian rolls, too. I absolutely love their ginger salad dressing. I highly recommend the volcano roll. The prices are pretty average for sushi restaurants. I'm a fan of their house saki, also. It's in a nice area, lots of parking available. I'll definitely be back!
(5)Danyell H.
I love their food! Expecially their volcano rolls! However if you buy a Groupon for them the service is horrible! Ive been there twice with groupons both times. A friend has been there 3 times with groupons all 3 times and has recieved the same service! if you put a groupon out have the same service as the other customers!!!
(2)Sarah S.
Great sushi and sashimi! I went with my fiance for Valentine's day lunch because we had a groupon. We ordered the 'love boat for 2' and I'd say this was one of my top boats I've ever gotten. Usually boats tend to always come with a few of those boring pieces like shrimp, imitation crab or tamago but this boat came only with the good stuff! Salmon, tuna, white tuna, mackerel and yellow tail came as 2 piece sushi and also as 3 piece sashimi. There was also a shrimp tempura roll and rainbow roll. The white tuna was especially good and melted in our mouths like butter! (Definitely recommend WHITE TUNA). In case anyone is looking for a restaurant that lets you do SAKE BOMBS this is the place to go! The service was quick and thorough. The ambiance is quiet with dim lighting; but the restaurant is very clean. We liked it so much we actually forgot to use our groupon since we were sitting there raving about the food. So, we went back for lunch the next day. We both ordered the shrimp tempura udon which came with a good amount of veggie tempura. The udon noodles werent my favorite but the broth and vegetables were light and tasty; not too salty. Overall great place if you're looking for sushi and sashimi.

This is a late review! But my husband and I went here about a month ago for the first time and we really enjoyed it. At first it was quite so it was kind of awkward but than they put music on. I ordered the chicken hibachi and it was great! My husband did the chefs special (I think) the sushi/sashimi was all raw and came presented very well. I will include a picture! The prices were decent and my husband loved the sushi so we will be going back again!
(5)Randi M.
Pretty disappointed. Got a coupon in the mail so my husband and I tried it out. Our waitress was either having a really bad day or really hates waiting tables. Needless to stay it created a negative atmosphere for our meal. Was a little turned off I couldn't see the sushi being prepared either. Leaves a wonder of how fresh the food really is in my mind. Might try again and hope for a better result since it is so close to my house. I will say the decor and look of the place is very cool.

This place is great! The servers and management there is decent, I guess like the rest of us they all have their good and bad days. Their sushi, is always made cook to order, and FRESH! This place actually reminds me of some sushi places, out in California they have exquisite sushi there! Especially with Cali being along the Pacific Ocean, to me this restaurant has some of the freshest sushi just like Cali does. However, despite the fact they are no where near the Pacific Ocean. Beware though when you do eat sushi there, I had to speak with the manager Vince, because I had found some hard shell in my sushi. Yes, we all know sushi is soft, but whoever peeled the hard shell off the seafood they left some accidentally in my sushi. So they were quick to process me a refund, although management gave me a bit of a hard time. Unless, they want to be sued I would hope so they'd process a refund ASAP! And I did get it back! Woot woot Besides that, I think they're the BEST SUSHI place in the state of Okla.

Rotten food. I got sick. The sushi paper was so stale and old it was hard to chew. Not many options to choose from. Looked good. Tasted bad and on top of it I got sick. Bad service and depressing interior. Depressing. My last groupon ever. Groupon restaurants almost always suck.
(1)Jere L.
Amazing sushi with superb flavor and great appeal. Although Saii is usually our first go to choice, I believe this place is better equipped for us with their unique variety of rolls.
(4)Joshua L.
When I walked in, I was impressed by the fact that a sushi bar existed in this particular location. The decor and set up looks great and I was excited for a great sushi meal. However my excitement was cut short when our food arrived. The edamame tasted like something that was from a frozen bag at a grocery store, our sushi rolls were minuscule and didn't taste particularly special for a "specialty" roll. All in all, nice try but my money's better off somewhere else.
(2)Sarah R.
Extremely disappointing service. I have now tried Inaka twice. The first time was on their 3rd day of business. I went with a group of five, including me, for dinner around 7pm. We all ordered around 7:15pm. 8pm rolls around and no sushi... no service to let us know when our sushi was coming.. no apologies. 8:15, two of our party was served while the other three sat and waited an additional 15 minutes for their sushi to arrive. The waitress then informed us she gave our sushi to the wrong table. After complaining (politely) we received 20% off. The sushi was good but hard to love it when you have a bad taste in your mouth. I didn't let this night put a damper on Inaka because it was their third day of business. I understand restaurants may need a couple days to get in the swing of things. I went back to Inaka tonight 5/19 with a two friends. We arrived around 6:45 all ordering water and miso soup. Soup came out quickly, then shortly after we ordered our sushi around 7pm. Once again... 7:50 rolls around.. no sushi, no update on our order, no water refill, no waitress in site. I had to wave the waitress down, she had no insight as to where our food was or how close it was to coming out. Also, not a single apology. There were three sushi chefs making sushi for a restaurant that was not at full capacity. After 8 we left some cash on the table and walked out. My roommate ordered Inaka to-go last week. She was told it would be ready in 15 min. She arrived and the order was ready to go. Maybe the lesson to be learned is get it to-go.. or order your food 24 hours before!!

First time here and it was delicious I would recommend it to anyone yummm very cool environment was my boyfriends first time and he loved it!
(5)A S.
Worst sushi in Okc, hands down. Had two rolls, one was cooked and it tasted like burnt bbq. Miso soup was the only thing that was not digusting, but that is hard to mess up.
(1)Louise T.
Oh yes, forgot to say : PAUL GASOL OKC has awesome sushi. Good luck that and the ballet in San Antonio buddy.
(5)Sandy T.
The food was fabulous but the staff could care less if I was there or not. Never checked on me once or asked me how the food was.
(4)Jared S.
Very good! Got the spicy Cowboy roll! Great food and great atmosphere! Will be going back for sure!
(4)Debbie H.
Great atmosphere, beautiful presentation and most of all, delicious sushi. We will definitely be eating there again, possibly our new sushi hangout. The service was exceptional. Debbie H.
(5)David L.
Sushi presentation was good. Sushi itself was ok. I've had better, but I've had worse. Our chicken yakitori app was really overcooked. Calamari was pretty tasty though. Our waiter was a little over-attentive at times. Overall I will give it another shot in a few weeks to see if some of the kinks are worked out.
